How many rods?
A small household manages with four or five rods; a family running the washing machine daily is better off with six to eight. More rods spread the load and let clothes dry faster.
Which length?
Choose the longest rod that fits the ceiling with a little room at each end to work the ropes — usually 4 to 8 ft. We measure on the visit.
Stainless or coated rods?
Painted and chrome-plated rods are cheaper but rust in humid weather and can stain wet clothes. Stainless-steel rods do not.
Ceiling or wall mounting?
A pulley ceiling hanger needs a solid RCC slab. Under a false ceiling, a duct or a thin sunshade, a wall-mounted hanger on anchored brackets is the safe choice.
Installation tips
- Brackets must go into concrete, not plaster
- Keep rods clear of lights, fans and grill channels
- Check every pulley runs smoothly before handover
