Child Safety Invisible Grills in Bangalore – built around a toddler's reach

Child safety invisible grills in Bangalore are planned around one question: what would a curious child try next? We fit vertical SS 316 ropes with a 2-inch gap, cover the full height above the railing, and close the side gaps, so there is nothing to squeeze through and nothing to climb.

Child safety

Why choose child safety invisible grills in Bangalore

Children climb what they can reach — a chair, a planter, the bottom rail of a grill. That is why we do not treat a child-safety grill as an ordinary balcony grill: we start by looking at the furniture, the railing height and any ledges, then plan the ropes so none of them becomes a ladder.

Vertical ropes are the default. The gap is 2 inches, tight enough to stop a small head, hand or foot passing through, and the channels are anchored into concrete so a push or a lean goes into the structure.

Benefits

Benefits of child safety invisible grills

Nothing to climb

Vertical ropes give no foot-hold; we check for ledges and planters too.

2-inch gap, checked

Spacing measured across the whole width before we leave.

Anchored to take a push

Channels fixed into the slab and beam, never into plaster.

Watch them play

Clear sight lines from inside the room to the whole balcony.

A tip from our fitters. Move planters, stools and shoe racks away from the railing once the grill is in. The grill closes the opening; a clear floor removes the temptation to climb.

Materials

Materials used for child safety invisible grills

We install SS 316 marine-grade stainless-steel wire rope with a clear nylon coating, in 2 mm, 2.5 mm or 3 mm thickness depending on the width of the opening. The ropes are spaced 2 inches apart as standard, and closer where pigeons are the main concern. Each rope sits in an anodised aluminium channel at either end, and the channels are fixed with stainless-steel anchor fasteners into the RCC slab, beam or column — never into plaster. Ropes can be laid vertically or horizontally, and each one is tensioned on its own so it can be re-tightened on a service visit.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What gap is safe for toddlers?

We fit ropes 2 inches apart as standard for child safety, which is too narrow for a small child's head or body to pass through.

Why vertical ropes for children?

Horizontal ropes can be used like the rungs of a ladder. Vertical ropes give a child nothing to put a foot on.

Are the ropes sharp or harmful to touch?

No. The stainless rope is nylon coated, so it is smooth to the touch and safe for small hands.

Can you cover a duplex staircase void?

Yes. Staircase voids and mezzanine edges are a common child-safety job; we fix the aluminium channels into the slab edges and walls around the void.
